What specific skills do you bring to your Pilates instruction?
With a background as a personal trainer and being trained in clinical-style Pilates, I love blending strength and functional movement into my classes. I’m qualified in Mat, Reformer, and small equipment, so whether it’s deep core work, mobility, or strength-building, I make sure every session is dynamic and purposeful.
What inspires your passion for Pilates?
So many things! But mostly, it’s the way Pilates brings that perfect balance of mindfulness and movement. There’s this beautiful sense of calm and focus needed to execute exercises well, and I love how it helps people feel grounded while getting stronger.
Can you share a bit about your educational background and experience?
I trained with Studio Pilates and have been teaching for four years. I’ve completed six of their courses, covering everything from beginner Pilates to pregnancy and postnatal training. I even spent 2 years as a 'course facilitator' for their Sydney branch, training new instructors to get qualified—which was such an incredible experience!
What inspired you to pursue a career in Pilates instruction?
It all started with a hip and knee injury. I began doing weekly 1:1 sessions with an instructor who specialised in injury and rehab, and the results were like nothing I was getting from standard injury treatment. My pain decreased, my range of movement improved. From there, I moved into group classes, got hooked, and, well… here we are!
What do you believe is the most rewarding aspect of your teaching style?
Hands down, seeing people achieve things they never thought they could. Whether it’s nailing a movement they’ve struggled with or feeling stronger and more confident, that’s what it’s all about. I love meeting clients where they’re at—physically and mentally—and guiding them to improve every session. That’s the biggest win for me.
